Big things are happening at the Freelance Writing Network, and I’m excited to introduce you to two brilliant new additions to the team.

Sithara and Amy are joining as the FWN’s first ever live event and video hosts.

Between them, they’ll be running everything from private workshops and Q&As to larger live events with standout guests. Whether you’re a current paid subscriber or just curious about what’s coming next, here’s what you can expect.

🎥 Meet Sithara – In-House Video Host for FWN Subscribers

Sithara is a freelance writer from the UK with a background in fiction and features. This summer she’s got work forthcoming in Cake Zine and Teen Vogue, and her fantasy fiction has previously won the HG Wells Fiction Short Story Competition. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, dancing and writing about extremely niche topics at @sitarasgarden.

Sithara is running a series of exclusive video sessions including live workshops, Q&As, and more, only for paid subscribers. These will likely be held right here on Substack and are included with your paid subscription to the FWN.

Amy Arthur is a freelance journalist and book author. Her bylines include BBC Science Focus, New Scientist and Live Science. Her book Pace Yourself: How to have energy in an exhausting world, was published by an imprint of Bonnier Books UK in 2023.

Amy is your host for our standout ticketed live events, featuring expert guests and deep-dive discussions. These will run every few weeks and take place away from Substack to allow for bigger attendance and a more flexible format.

You’ll get real insights from expert writers, editors, and creatives through live sessions, interviews, and practical breakdowns.
