     Job Summary

    We seek a skilled and experienced Digital Accessibility Specialist to join our federal consulting firm. The successful candidate will work closely with team members to ensure that all digital products and services meet accessibility standards for individuals with disabilities. This will involve conducting accessibility assessments on documents and web properties, providing recommendations for remediation, and collaborating with designers and developers to implement accessibility features. The candidate will also provide ongoing training to team members on accessibility standards, compliance, and guidelines.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct accessibility assessments of digital products and services, including documents, websites, applications, and other digital assets.
    • Provide guidance and recommendations for remediation of accessibility issues identified during assessments.
    • Collaborate with designers and developers to implement accessibility features and ensure they are appropriately integrated into digital products and services.
    • Stay current with accessibility standards and guidelines and ensure our digital products and services comply.
    • Educate team members on digital accessibility and guide how to design and develop accessible products and services.
    • Work closely with clients to understand their accessibility requirements and ensure our products and services meet their needs.
    • Assist with other practice areas such as analytics, design, and usability research to ensure that federal content maintains a high level of accessibility.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., digital design, web development, human-computer interaction, technical writing)
    • At least 3 years of experience in digital accessibility, focusing on accessibility assessments and remediation of documents, web properties, and information and communication technology (ICT).
    • Ability to manage a document backlog including testing, remediation and reposting or conversion of files to HTML.
    • In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines, including WCAG 2.1 and Section 508.
    • Experience testing digital content with assistive technologies (AT) and deep knowledge of how individuals with disabilities use assistive software.
    • Experience consulting and working with designers and developers to implement accessibility features.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve accessibility barriers.
    • Ability to work independently; suggest, outline, and drive accessibility initiatives from start to finish.
    • Experience working with accessibility testing tools, such as JAWS, NVDA, and/or VoiceOver.
    • Experience with manual, automated, and semi-automated accessibility review processes, including WAVE, Color Contrast Analyzer, Siteimprove, and/or AxeDevTools.
    • Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles and how they relate to accessibility.
    • Achieve Trusted Tester or CPACC certification within one calendar year.

    The Role:
    You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining the backend that powers our award-winning app, Balance.     The Role

    Whilst we have been generating Sales opportunities for years thanks to our established brand and strong marketing engine, this role is our first step into dedicate activity focused on Sales-driving opportunity generation.     Your main responsibilities will include:
    • Develop and implement always-on demand generation: Craft and execute an always-on campaign and targets to our Mid-Market to Enterprise audience segments. Spearhead pipeline growth initiatives.
    • Partnering closely with Sales: Sync inbound and outbound activity to drive targeted pipeline generating work, and quality of opportunities.
    • Develop and implement always-on lead nurturing programs: Create and execute continuous lead nurturing programs to engage prospects throughout their buyer journey and drive them into the sales funnel.
    • Develop measurement models: Work with RevOp and Sales, create and implement measurement models that reflect the contributions of your activity and the different channels and touch points used. Provide insights into revenue drivers to inform strategic decisions.

    About You

    We are looking for candidates with
    • At least 3 years of experience in lead and demand generation in a B2B SaaS company
    • Proven experience designing and leading the execution of successful demand generation strategies.
    • Deep expertise in at least 1 tactical vertical of Demand Gen (i.e. virtual events, content production, writing, CRM management, etc.)
    • Mandatory hands-on experience with Hubspot, with experience in other CRMs a plus
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and use insights to optimize campaigns
    • Experience with lead scoring and qualification
    • Excellent writing skills

    OVERVIEW:
    A client of Scalable Path is expanding its educational web application into the private sector, and it needs help improving the quality and performance of its existing application. This involves creating automated tests, implementing logging, and improving the dev team’s practices.
    The client is a Canadian company that has an existing web application that helps young students learn French as a second language.
    A core challenge they are facing is getting their Unity 3D WebGL application that runs well on desktop to work reliably on Android and iOS. Specific examples include stabilizing a 3rd party whiteboard feature that is not working properly and getting the application to run consistently in browsers on modern versions of the iPhone and iOS.
    The application uses Spring Boot on the back-end and React on the front-end. Additionally they are using OpenVidu and WebRTC.
    If you have experience with the back-end technologies mentioned above, that would be nice, but their core need is a strong React developer who is experienced with state management and real-time applications.
    They use Jira for project management.
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    – Attend daily scrum
    – Consult with management on operational requirements
    – Build new features in the front-end and back-end
    – Debug and fix issues with existing application
    – Refactor, optimize and simplify code to performance and readability
    – Break down systems into smaller, modular components to improve scalability and flexibility
    – Write automated tests
    – Implement bug and performance monitoring
    – Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews
    – Implement best practices with the dev team
    RELATIONSHIPS – WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH:
    You’ll be working with the CTO, Engineering Manager, 2 Web Developers, 3 Unity3D Developers and a DevOps Engineer. There is an existing daily meeting at 9:00 am America/Toronto (-04:00) EDT.
